Summary
The Hrriyet Daily News and Economic Review, formerly Turkish Daily News, is the oldest current English-language daily in Turkey.The paper was bought by the Doğan Media Group in 2001 and has been under the media group's flagship Hrriyet since 2006.The paper recently changed its name to Hrriyet Daily News and Economic Review. Daily News has a new layout as well. The paper has two front pages with the second front page serving the Economic Review.The new layout and design of the paper was also accompanied by new sections, most notably Regeionscape. The new concept is dedicated to examining Turkey's near abroad through river basin regions.The editor-in-chief is David Judson with Taylan Bilgic serving as the managing editor of the paper.The Economic Review section, headed up by Taylan Bilgic, partners with the Turkish financial paper, Referans.
