Rupert Penry-Jones (born 22 September 1970, London) is an English actor, best known for his role as Adam Carter in the British television series Spooks.His father is actor Peter Penry-Jones, his mother is actress Angela Thorne. His brother Laurence Penry-Jones is also an actor.He was educated at Dulwich College in south-east London.In 1995 he appeared with his mother on television in Cold Comfort Farm.He married actress Dervla Kirwan in August 2007 after a three-year engagement. Kirwan had given birth to their daughter, Florence, on 1 May 2004. Their second child, Peter, was born 8 April 2006.He and Kirwan met in a theatre production, Dangerous Corner, in 2001.
