Summary
Kyle E. McSlarrow (born June 29, 1960), a former Deputy Secretary of the United States Department of Energy, has been president & CEO of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, a trade group representing the U.S. cable industry, since March 2005. As Deputy Secretary of Energy in the administration of George W. Bush he served as the Department's chief operating officer from November 27, 2002 until February 2005. He also was co-chair of the U.S.-Russia Energy Working Group, a program started by George W. Bush and Russian President Vladmir Putin. McSlarrow and was Chief of Staff of the Department of Energy prior to his appointment as Deputy Energy Secretary.McSlarrow, a native of Virginia, earned degrees from Cornell University and the University of Virginia School of Law.
