Christopher Murray Paul-Huhne - self-styled as "Chris Huhne" (born 2 July 1954) is a Liberal Democrat politician and the current Member of Parliament for the Eastleigh constituency in Hampshire. He was appointed Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change following the 2010 general election.He has twice run for the leadership of the Liberal Democrats but was beaten on both occasions. In the 2006 election he came second to Sir Menzies Campbell and in the 2007 election he was beaten by Nick Clegg who won by a margin of 511 votes.Huhne was born in an affluent section of west London to a Conservative businessman father and an amateur actress mother.
