Fox International Channels (FIC) is a subsidiary of the Fox Entertainment Group, which is a part of Rupert Murdoch's global media conglomerate News Corporation. It produces and distributes entertainment, factual, sports, and movie channels through television channels in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America using several brands, including Fox, Fox Crime, Fox Life, National Geographic Channel and Baby TV.FIC was started in 1993 with the launch of the Fox-braned general entertainment channel in Japan, it currently operates 7 active channel brands in Asia, including National Geographic Channel and its associated channels, FX, Fox Crime and Baby TV broadcasting in local languages and programmed independently for each market.
