Food Network is a television specialty channel that airs both one-time and recurring (episodic) programs about food and cooking. Scripps Networks Interactive owns roughly two thirds of the network, and Tribune Company owns the rest.The network is seen in more than ninety million households. In addition to New York City, it has offices in Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit, Jersey City, and Knoxville, Tennessee.Food Network has launched internationally first in the UK on November 9, 2009 and in Asia from early 2010.Food Network was founded on November 23, 1993 as TV Food Network; its legal name is still Television Food Network, G.P.

Condé Nast's Ziplist launches new features, reaches 1M users
Ziplist, the startup that makes it easier to share and discover recipes, has launched its first set of features since being acquired for a reported $14 million by Condé Nast this April. It has partnered up with food-focused blogs as well as lifestyle and entertainment brands — notably, Martha Stewart Living and the Food Network — to populate its database of over 500,000 free recipes.
