InSkin Media CEO Hugo Drayton on innovation, expansion and winning three British Media Awards

Now the dust has settled after last week's British Media Awards I thought it would be a good idea to catch up with some of the winners, to find out what makes them tick and hopefully gain a little bit more insight into what impressed the judges.

InSkin Media -  a provider of display advertising solutions, mostly related to video - walked away with three prizes: Commercial Team of the Year, Digital Media Innovator of the Year and one of the main awards of the night, Innovation of the Year. Among other things, the judges said: "This company thinks differently about balancing the needs of the brand and the audience. They have created something that is about more than just inventory, through innovative advertising solution."

What particularly caught the judges' eye was that InSkin has clearly thought about the needs of not just the brand but the end-user. As someone who continually gets annoying by disruptive pre-rolls, I can only agree that it's good someone is innovating in this area.

So I caught up with Hugo Drayton, CEO, to ask about what the company believes in, and he also told me about plans to launch in Germany in Q3 this year and a new iPad and Android tablet ad product...
